My Adventures and Travels

To me, the pictures below are home. No captions or explanations needed. Home in the mountains, home camping with friends at the lake (technically in Nebraska), and home at Coors Field. Being away has made me even more appreciative of what a beautiful place I live and am lucky to call home-even though I live 6,000 miles away. I didn't get many pictures (any?) of my amazing friends I spent time with, but I also had a great time running around and seeing everyone. 

Lucky for me, my summer break falls from mid-December and goes through mid-February. With nine weeks off, I had time to go home to Colorado, without feeling like I was missing out on too much of my travel time. I went home for about three weeks-what a whirlwind! It was wonderful, and exhausting. It seems like every night, I had plans with a different group of friends. It was *so* nice to see the family and friends I've been away from! It was also a little bit of "reverse culture shock" to go into stores and be reminded of how much STUFF is available in the U.S. For example, one of the things I used to take for granted is being able to eat whatever I want, no matter the season (Raspberries! In the middle of winter!). Not to mention all the food-stuff I had missed. I ate way too much. I drank way too much. I wouldn't have it any other way! The whole time I was home I was surrounded by loved ones and it was so nice. My mom asked me, is there one question that everyon...

I just realized I never updated my house pictures. Probably because it's still a work in progress and I want to keep adding to it, but at least it's not as empty as it was! Bit by bit it is starting to feel like home. I'd still like a living room rug, some decorations/wall hangings, and maybe a little tv in the future. I'm also still working on my patio so I'll update that when it's ready! Dining/living room area. It's funny, the windows are so bright that it actually looks dark (if that makes sense) from this viewpoint. Standing in the doorway to the balcony looking in, you can see how much natural light there is! Another look out the balcony Kitchen, with appliances Bedroom, feeling cozier... But I still feel like I'm missing something.... Oh yeah. Friends. Now it feels like home!
