Into Antigua

Another long van ride, and we arrived at our host's beautiful house in Antigua. She has set up a foundation to give bilingual Mayan youth scholarships, so they can return to their communities to teach. I am happy to have my room costs going to such a cause! We actually stayed in the library the first 3 nights (2 nights as a group, then I stayed on after for one night with Amy). It is a really neat room, but my favorite thing about the house is the garden. It was a really great place to stay, especially after being up in the highlands!

P.S. If you enlarge the garden picture, you will notice it is raining. That happens a lot. They don't call it the rainy season for nothing!
